A Message From Hannah...New Beginnings!

Dear Friends,

Something exciting is in the works. Well, exciting compared to what's been going on with HH, which is nothing! Hehe.

After a lot of time away from Hannah Handpainted and using that time spend pondering various options, I've decided I'd like to give Hannah Handpainted another try.

But Hannah Handpainted is not going to be exactly what it was before. I'm not just going to reactivate the page and hope for the best. The old Hannah Handpainted is dead. It didn't work for me. And this new idea may not either, but I'd like to give it a go.

This site will be reformulated, revamped by me over the course of the next few weeks. A sneak preview of what's to come? Well, after basing the biz around the idea of custom-made pieces, I've decided to stop waiting for commissions to come in and get proactive.

Instead of relying primarily on commissions for unique hand-painted jewelry, I've decided to focus more on still-unique but mostly ready-made pieces, from jewelry to possible other items, things my husband will cut out in wood, that we'll design together, and I'll paint.

For the past couple of years my husband has cut out more than three hundred pendants and pins for me, mostly uncomplainingly, but I want to give him something more interesting to cut out. Clocks, mirrors, kid's toys, dimensional items, wall hangings, a variety of items in a variety of price ranges, all ready to buy.

Now, custom pieces are not entirely done away with. I will still offer custom-made items, but those items will be a bit more than the ready-made pieces, though not uncomfortably so.

And I will still make custom-made series, specifically for businesses, such as the pieces I have over at Hip Mountain Mama, but only wholesale, not on consignment.

Updates to come. I hope to be done with the revamp within the next couple of weeks, but it will take a while longer to stock the site with items, as it will take a while to create them. You can expect to see new items on the page sometime this fall.

In the meantime, I have reactivated the custom orders page, and a few of the other pages, with a few modifications, so it's still possible to purchase custom pieces. After this fall, custom orders will be available as well but the emphasis will be more heavily on the ready-made pieces.
